Sergeant Donald E. Gregory

January 27, 1976 Missoula Police Sergeant Donald Gregory was killed in the basement of a north side home.

Officers had responded to a call of a disturbance, during which a gun had been fired. They were attempting to subdue a suspect when another police officer’s shotgun accidentally discharged, striking Sergeant Gregory.

Sergeant Gregory had served with the Missoula Police Department for eight years. He was survived by his wife, daughters, father, and eight siblings.
