Deputy Game Warden Roy Thompson

August 20, 1958 Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, Deputy Game Warden Roy W. Thompson died as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Deputy Warden Thompson was performing mountain patrol duties on the Pyramid Trail in the Seeley Lake area at the time of the accident.  He had been with the Dept. of Fish Wildlife and Parks for five years, and was stationed at Clearwater.  Deputy Warden Thompson was 31 years of age, and was survived by his widow Marilyn; two sons, James and Scott; a daughter, Cheryl and his mother, Mrs. Margret Stears, all of Missoula.  His father was the late James Thompson, a former sheriff of Missoula County.
