Sergeant Bob Heinle

 

On October 21, 1998  Police Sergeant Bob Heinle responded to a call that a person was attempting to cash forged checks at a local bank. As he approached the suspect, the man fled the scene. During a foot pursuit the suspect drew a handgun and shot Officer Heinle in the neck. The wound caused Officer Heinle to become paralyzed from the neck down. He continued to suffer complications from the wound and passed away as a result of those complications on February 12, 2010.
